REANNA CRUZ
Howdy! I’m Reanna, an L.A.-based music journalist, audio producer, and culture critic.
I’m currently freelancing as the senior producer for Vox Media’s music podcast, Switched on Pop. I’ve worked on that podcast since 2022, hosting and producing weekly episodes while also researching, booking, scripting, and editing for the show.
I also worked at NPR Music, running social media accounts, writing up Tiny Desk Concerts, and reviewing new releases. During my time there, I regularly spoke on nationally syndicated NPR shows including Alt.Latino, All Songs Considered, and Weekend Edition.
I’m a member of GALECA: The Society of LGBTQ Entertainment Critics, and I’ve served as an expert panelist on multiple podcast and radio shows, including NPR's Pop Culture Happy Hour, CBC's Commotion, and WNYC's All of It with Alison Stewart. My music writing and reviews can be found on NPR Music, Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, Vulture, Them, The Bitter Southerner, and more.
I’ve also hosted panels and given presentations at Vulture Festival, the NLGJA National Convention, and the ACP Spring National College Media Conference.
